Does it matter what time of day I submit my resume ? -
is a question not too many jobseekers ask themselves.
The little details are what make the difference between a successful jobseeker and a less successful one, and this is one of them. This would explain why there are so many resumes faxed and e-mailed outside working hours. This is why usually the garbage bin is filled first thing in the morning with resumes faxed over night and in week-end, and emails with carefully selected wording resumes are deleted in the morning together with the rest of truly spam and junk e-mail. So, if you want to increase your chances of reaching the intended receiver of your resume, keep in mind: send your resumes between 9:30AM and 4PM! Even better, try to contact the intended receiver by phone and let him/her know that you plan to send a resume, especially if the resume is for an unadvertised position.
